Since founding Skanco Business Systems as Managing Director in 1985, David Butterworth has helped to drive and shape the way in which businesses on the Isle of Man engage with IT both locally and in an international capacity.

 

A commercially aware and well respected community figure, his guiding principles of maintaining a strong client focus whilst remaining committed to staff training and development have earned him a reputation as one of the industry’s foremost pioneering and enterprising businessmen.

 

David’s strong ties to the Island have also resulted in his embarking on a number of charitable activities. In 2006, he ran the New York Marathon and is running the London Marathon later this year. David has also organised the Premiership Pedal, a cross-country charity cycle which aims to raise over £50,000 for The Children’s Centre.
