Over the last year - the MEF has been instrumental in proving that public-private partnerships are an essential part of community cohesion on the Island.
The MEF's objective is to draw support from companies across the Isle of Man with the aim of enhancing the Island’s reputation as a well-respected and diversified international business centre.
In September, PokerStars donated three years of funding to both the Mobile and Family Libraries through the Manx Educational Foundation (MEF).
Corporate giving programmes aim to make a difference to the communities they operate within, giving particular focus to educational initiatives and the promotion of health and well being.
Still in need of further support, we believe that private funding from partners could be key to the development of educational projects across the Island.
During a difficult international financial situation, drawing in valuable corporate social responsibility campaigns could be the key to supporting similar publicly run services across the Isle of Man.
